Dr Benjin Luo
Dr. Benjin Luo has been serving as Secretary General of the World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations (WAITRO) and Chair of the Board of WAITRO Operations e.V. since March 2025, alongside his role as Chief Expert at the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI). In these capacities, he advances international collaboration and promotes impactful innovation to support sustainable development worldwide. Dr. Luo holds a Ph.D. from the University of Stuttgart and brings a distinguished career spanning academia, industry, and global research leadership. From 1996 to 2001, he contributed to research and education at the University of Stuttgart. Today, in his leadership roles at WAITRO and JITRI, Dr. Luo continues to foster global cooperation in cutting-edge research and technological innovation, strengthening the role of applied research organizations in addressing global challenges.
