WAITRO’s Heritage in Pictures
For our association’s 50th anniversary, we are looking back at five decades filled with great WAITRO events, stories and memories! To celebrate 50 years of WAITRO, we invited all our WAITRO members and their staff to join our photo contest and share their favorite WAITRO memory online.
We are delighted to see how many people used this opportunity to share their WAITRO memories on Social Media! Hundreds of pictures of WAITRO events and projects, friends and participants as well as background stories have been posted with the hashtag #WAITRO50 on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Thank you to everyone who participated in the contest!
Even though it was a tough decision, we eventually chose a winner: Theresia Ningsi Astuti from LIPI, the Indonesian Institute of Science, took the picture the winning picture at a WAITRO dinner organized by SIRIM Berhad in May 2019 in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The photo will as well as a selection of more great shots has been included in the publication that was printed on the occasion of WAITRO’s 50th anniversary.
