WAITRO Membership Types
Full Members
Full members are public or private organization specialized in developing, validating, testing, prototyping, and standardizing technologies and play a crucial role in the incubation and commercialization of innovative technologies. Their work ranges from basic research to the development of products and services. Full members cooperate closely with each other, industries, SMEs, start-ups, as well as a wide array of public stakeholders.
Associate Members
Associate members are for-profit organizations such as MNEs, SMEs, start-ups, investment and venture capital companies, or non-governmental organizations. Associate membership gives organizations an unparalleled opportunity to scale its social, economic and environmental impact via working with the research community from across the globe.
Honorary Members
Honorary memberships are granted to individuals whose contributions to the aims and objectives of the Association are considered significant and outstanding. Such contributions are expected to go beyond serving one or two terms on the Executive Board or as Regional Focal Point. Examples considered outstanding might be executive leadership over multiple decades, leadership of major initiatives that transformed WAITRO, or major achievements in fundraising to support WAITRO programs.
