Launching the Open Access Hub to Fight COVID-19
Nothing has influenced our world this year more than COVID-19 and nothing else seems to require more scientific and technological solutions more than the worldwide pandemic. Sharing knowledge and collaborating is crucial to address this global challenge and win the fight against the COVID-19. To provide the public and private sector with access to important research outcomes and technologies, the WAITRO Secretariat launched an open access add on to SAIRA with the financial support of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
The Open Access Hub allows you to share best practices and innovative technologies (e.g. devices for medical applications, digital education tools, technologies for economic recovery), and papers, analyzed data, data sets, or manuals focusing on the mitigation of the current COVID-19 crisis around the world. The Open Access Hub is publicly available – everybody can browse the submissions and directly contact the authors in case of collaboration potential. Therefore, the Open Access Hub will increase your visibility and might connect you with valuable partners.
The Open Access Hub to fight COVID-19 was developed and financed by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, but it is fully managed by the WAITRO Secretariat. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our expert reviewers from AINIA, the University of Huddersfield, LEITAT, JITRI, Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, and the University of New South Wales.
Have you developed technological solutions in a COVID-19 context? Share your technologies, papers and data on our SAIRA Open Access Hub. Maybe colleagues of yours are onto something? Feel free to let them know about the SAIRA Open Access Hub. Spread the word! Let’s use the power of collaboration to make an impact in the fight against the global pandemic and prepare for a world after COVID-19.
