Four Capacity Development Workshops at WAITRO://50
After WAITRO published a call for capacity development programs and topics for WAITRO://50, it is now set that four of our member organizations will each provide one workshop for the summit. These four members have successfully applied and will host an online workshop at the WAITRO://50 Virtual Innovation Summit:
- ‘Efficient remote work’ by Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft: Annika Gehrmann and Sylvia Raabe from the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft will present and discuss how to best adapt to the current situation for example by working more efficiently from your home.
- DTI on ‘Meeting the changing conditions following the COVID-19 crisis’. Knud Erik Hilding-Hamann from Danish Technological Institute will address the pandemic as well by going into detail on how to make the best out of the COVID-19 crisis on an organizational level.
- ‘Joint Efforts of Research and Technology Organizations (RTOs) to Facilitate Sustainable Development with a focus on realizing circular water management solutions’ by IVL: To best explore this topic, Dr. Mathias Gustavsson, Östen Ekengren, Yanjing Zhu, Staffan Filipsson, Rupali Deshmukh, and Gao Si will present three different case studies based on three countries and present circular water management issues in China, India and Sweden.
- United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on ‘New Technologies & Innovation – Drive the Recovery and Development in the Post-Pandemic Era: Instead of adapting to the pandemic, the workshop by UNIDO will focus on how to best use changes and developments that happened because of the crisis for the time after and discuss its potentials.
