Board Meets in Costa Rica
The 82nd WAITRO Executive Board Meeting took place from March 12th to 14th in Costa Rica. Regional support to host the three-day-event was provided by the National Center for High Technology (CeNAT) and the University of Costa Rica (UCR).
WAITRO’s Open Innovation Hub SAIRA was presented at the University of Costa Rica to an audience of University students and staff, as well as Representatives from the GIZ (German Corporation for International Cooperation), the Fundación de Costa Rica para la Innovación and the German-Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce. As part of the change of the Secretariat and the new strategic alignment of WAITRO, it was decided to waive the membership fees in 2019. More will be decided in the upcoming Executive Board Meeting in Botswana.
