A Farewell to Board Members from MENA and Africa

After serving on the WAITRO Executive Board for 4 years, which is the maximum permitted under the Constitution, we now say goodbye to Dr. Bahadir Tunaboylu and Dr. Ndumiso Cingo, the Regional Representatives for Middle East and North Africa, and for Sub-Saharan Africa. Both have already been part of the WAITRO Executive Board since 2016 and were re-elected for a second term in 2018.

Dr. Tunaboylu has also been serving on the board of WAITRO member TĂĽbitak in Turkey and now works as a professor at Marmara University in Istanbul. Dr. Ndumiso Cingo, Regional Representative for Sub-Saharan Africa, is the Strategic Partnerships Manager at Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa and also serves as the Innovation Manager in the CSIR Research and Development Office since August 2014. Dr. Cingo has been involved in a broad variety of WAITRO programs. On behalf of WAITRO, we would like sincerely thank Ndumiso and Bahadir for their work and engagement with the global innovation family!
