86th Board Meeting Held Online
To talk and discuss recent developments the association, the WAITRO Executive Board just held an extracurricular online meeting. Among other issues, the Board members discussed lessons learned from the WAITRO://50 Virtual Innovation Summit and reflected on possible improvements that could be made to future events.
Furthermore, the Board and members of the Secretariat shared opinions and recent developments on the WAITRO Global Innovation Summit 2021, future Capacity Development workshops, the new membership structure and more! The third Board Meeting of 2020 also marked the end of the Board term 2019 – 2020 and changes on the WAITRO Board: We sincerely thank Dr. Ndumiso Cingo, the Regional Representative for Sub-Saharan Africa, and Dr. Bahadir Tunaboylu, the Regional Representative for Middle East and North Africa, for their work and engagement for our association for the past four years! The new representatives for the two regions, Mapitso Molefe from CSIR South Africa and Emad Ewais from the Central Metallurgical Research and Development Institute Egypt (CMRDI) also joined the meeting as observers and will officially take on their work for the association next year.
