Empresa Brasileira De Pesquisa E Inovação Industrial (EMBRAPII), a Brazilian Company of Research and Industrial Innovation, is a governmental organization established in 2013 to support technological research institutions and drive innovation in the Brazilian industry. Collaborating with the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications and the Ministry of Education, it shares funding responsibilities. EMBRAPII’s mission is to support technological research institutions in specific areas of expertise to conduct projects fostering technological innovation in cooperation with industrial companies. The organization operates by partnering with research institutions, both public and private, focusing on business needs and sharing risks in the pre-competitive phase of innovation. By promoting innovation and sharing project risks, EMBRAPII aims to enhance the technological intensity of the industrial sector, bolstering companies’ competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.
