TÜBİTAK-WAITRO Postgraduate and Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme

At the 92^nd Executive Board Meeting of WAITRO, TÜBİTAK and WAITRO agreed to set up supportive initiatives to promote global outreach and international cooperation of researchers from science and technology Institutions. The 2216D – TÜBİTAK-WAITRO Postgraduate and Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme (the TÜBİTAK-WAITRO fellowship) is the fruit of this mutual agreement among WAITRO board members and is supported by a generous financial contribution from TÜBİTAK.

The TÜBİTAK-WAITRO fellowship aims to advance the international cooperation of Türkiye in science and technology by providing financial support for early-career researchers from WAITRO member institutions in other countries to work in the TÜBİTAK ecosystem. Researchers from these institutions are eligible to apply for this fellowship if they hold a PhD degree (i.e. postdoc) or are still registered to a doctoral research program outside of Türkiye, and are working on research themes within the sustainable development goals. This announcement covers the application requirements, procedures and obligations of applicants to be supported by the program.
