Shenyang Institute of Industrial Technology (SYIIT) Joins WAITRO
The Shenyang Institute of Industrial Technology (SYIIT), established by the Shenyang Municipal People’s Government, China has been welcomed into the World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations (WAITRO) as a Full Member.
Focused on five crucial industrial fields—intelligent manufacturing, advanced materials, biomedicine, information technology, and new energy—SYIIT aims to fulfill industrial progress as its primary objective. To achieve this, it has established five vital systems, including those for industrial demand, research and development carriers, innovation resources, platform support, and innovation and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, SYIIT has created five essential ecologies encompassing spatial, financial, talent, policy, and service aspects, empowering Shenyang to become a comprehensive technology innovation center in Northeast China.
As of now, SYIIT has successfully engaged over 20 new Research and Development Institutions, drawing them into the SYIIT community across diverse fields such as intelligent manufacturing, advanced materials, biomedicine, information technology, and new energy. In parallel, SYIIT has collaboratively established innovation hubs with 23 prominent enterprises based in Shenyang. Furthermore, SYIIT has forged strategic partnerships with eight district and county governments, collectively driving the development of innovative complexes in areas like Hunnan District, Tiexi District, North Shenyang New District, and Heping District.
In its pursuit of deeper collaboration, SYIIT has inked strategic agreements with universities and research institutions like Shenyang Aerospace University, Shenyang Ligong University, and the Liaoning Academy of Materials. These agreements aim to explore comprehensive cooperation in transforming scientific and technological achievements, nurturing talent, and other strategic aspects. SYIIT has also established regular communication mechanisms with esteemed institutions such as Northeastern University, the Institute of Metals Research at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang Institute of Automation at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. To date, SYIIT has actively pursued more than 70 high-quality projects, appointed 22 project managers, and overseen the implementation of six industrialization projects. In conclusion, SYIIT has laid the foundation for a supportive ecosystem, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among scientific and technological professionals.
