The World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations (WAITRO) is an independent, non-governmental, and not-for-profit association established in 1970 under the auspices of the United Nations. WAITRO unites science, technology, and innovation stakeholders on a global scale, providing a platform for members and partners to connect, collaborate, share knowledge, and amplify their impact in addressing global challenges and advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

WAITRO’s organizational structure consists of the General Assembly, the Executive Board, the Secretariat hosted by a member organization, WAITRO Operations e.V. and Regional Focal Points each playing a vital role in advancing WAITRO’s mission.
