Dirk Saseta Krieg is the Director of Business and Operations at Leitat. He oversees both international and national operations related to public fundraising, private sales, and project management. Dirk also represents Leitat at an institutional level and is actively involved in key RTO networks, including WAITRO, EARTO, and FEDIT.
With over 20 years of experience in public and private research and technology organizations across Europe and the USA, Dirk brings deep expertise in innovation management and strategic partnerships. Early in his career, he worked as a project manager at the Meadowlands Environmental Research Institute (USA) from 2006 to 2008 before joining Leitat in 2009, where he initially focused on environmental technologies and renewable energies. In 2013, he was appointed Director of International Affairs.
Dirk holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a Master’s in Environmental Audits and Management Systems with a focus on Renewable Energies from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and an MBA from ESADE Business School. He has also completed certifications in ISO 9000 and ISO 14000, as well as project management training at New York University (NYU).
In addition to his professional roles, Dirk has contributed as an associate professor and guest lecturer in project management and EU proposal writing at institutions such as La Salle and ESAD.
