Regional Symposium by TISTR & WAITRO: Advancing Innovation in Asia-Pacific
TISTR, as the Regional Focal Point (RFP) for Asia and the Pacific for the World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations (WAITRO), is proud to organize the Regional Symposium: “From Agro Resources to Global Markets: Scaling Innovation in Sustainable Food Processing” on 10 June 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, held in conjunction with ProPak Asia 2026.
This symposium is designed as a regional platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, bringing together experts and institutions across the Asia-Pacific region. The event reflects WAITRO’s mission to strengthen international cooperation, promote knowledge sharing, and support innovation ecosystems among its members.
A key highlight of the symposium is the strong engagement of WAITRO members. Speakers have been carefully selected from active member organizations across the region, including institutions from:
- CSIR India,
- NANJING TECH China
- BRIN Indonesia,
- SIRIM Malaysia
- TISTR Thailand
- NFI Thailand
This approach ensures that the event serves not only as a technical forum, but also as a showcase of the value of WAITRO membership—where members are given opportunities to:

- Build regional and global networks
- Contribute to collaborative innovation initiatives
In addition to invited speakers, the symposium is open to public participants and ProPak Asia visitors, creating broader engagement between research, industry, and innovation communities.
