SUMMARY:Crowdhelix Online Event: Lump-Sum Grants in Horizon Europe - What They Are\, How to Budget and Why They Change Your Bid
DESCRIPTION:About the Event\nThis Crowdhelix session provides practical guidance on lump-sum funding in Horizon Europe\, which is becoming increasingly relevant for the 2027 call cycle. It covers how lump-sum grants differ from actual-cost funding\, how budgets need to be structured across partners and work packages\, how evaluators assess costs\, and which common budgeting mistakes can weaken a proposal. The session also addresses cost benchmarking and the implications of lump-sum funding for project reporting and implementation. \nWhy It Matters to WAITRO\nThe session is particularly relevant to WAITRO’s ambition to strengthen its support for members throughout the international project development cycle. Understanding lump-sum funding is important not only for proposal preparation but also for consortium design\, budgeting and project implementation. The insights could therefore help WAITRO better advise members preparing Horizon Europe proposals and identify areas where additional capacity development or expert support may be needed\, particularly for organizations with limited experience in EU funding mechanisms.
