Through structured co-creation and international collaboration\, the Summit focuses on developing practical\, investment-ready solutions for climate action and sustainable development. \nFocus of the Summit\nCentered on implementation\, the Summit connects research\, industry\, and policy to accelerate real-world impact. Participants will co-develop project pipelines\, form strategic partnerships\, and contribute to a shared Implementation Declaration guiding action beyond 2026. \nWhat to Expect & Key Outcomes\nOver three days\, participants will engage in member-led sessions\, interactive co-creation workshops\, and high-level discussions. The Summit is designed to transform ideas into concrete initiatives\, with clear ownership\, timelines\, and pathways to funding and deployment.The Summit will deliver a portfolio of implementation-ready pilot projects and a joint declaration to be presented to global stakeholders\, including policymakers and investors\, in the lead-up to COP31. \nWhy It Matters\nAs global challenges intensify\, the need to translate research into scalable solutions has never been greater. The WAITRO Summit 2026 provides a unique platform to align expertise\, mobilize partnerships\, and accelerate implementation at a global scale. \nRegistration opens in May 2026. Stay tuned.

Members can expect the presentation of the Strategic Plan 2027–2030\, outlining the vision and objectives for the coming years\, alongside the proposed Work Program 2027/28 with planned activities and initiatives. The GA will also include an update on membership developments\, as well as a forward-looking discussion on upcoming plans and opportunities for engagement. \nExecutive Board Election\nThe upcoming GA include elections for WAITRO’s leadership positions\, giving members the opportunity to shape the association’s governance for the next term. All active full members are eligible to nominate candidates\, stand for election\, and vote. Submissions for Board nominations can be made until 29 August 2026.
